Augusta, GA- Sandhurst Apartment Management (“SAM”) has announced the purchase of Woodhill Apartments, a 182-unit multifamily garden style apartment complex built in 1988 located in Augusta, GA. The acquisition closed in June 2020.
Woodhill Apartments is situated west of downtown Augusta in Richmond County. Woodhill offers a luxurious, distinctive style of living with one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes situated in 19 three-story buildings. The property received upgrades to its amenity package prior to purchase. SAM plans to implement a phased interior renovation plan to upgrade unit interiors in the coming years. Woodhill is located just minutes away from I-20 and the Augusta Mall, which features several name-brand retailers. The property is also in close proximity to Augusta University, which has a population of nearly 10,000 students.
SAM is pleased to purchase its second asset in Augusta. With easy access to local highways, strong retail and dining presence and the close proximity to major employers, Woodhill is situated in an excellent location. As Augusta has a growing population base and a minimal new supply of apartments forecasted, this acquisition proves to be consistent with our strategy of buying assets located in growing submarkets with strong demographics, excellent school systems and steady economic growth.
